Denise Ackert loves offering yoga as a means to deeper embodiment and connection to the heart. In her teaching, she draws from her training in Anusara, Iyengar, Astanga and Power Yoga. Denise has been working in the wellness field for over 25 years. In addition to teaching yoga, she offers courses and workshops on mindfulness, healthy communication, parenting and authenticity for youth, adults, and organizations. She has been a student of meditation since 1986, has certifications from Mindful Schools and the Prison Mindfulness Institute to teach in those settings. Her mission is building a healthier, happier, more connected society through teaching individuals and groups the tools of yoga, fearlessness, mindfulness and compassion. Her degree in Environmental Science and Permaculture Teacher Certification also inform her work around personal and planetary wellness.
